Introducing our staff
Sam graduated from the University of Cairo in 2000 with Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS).
He was initially drawn to dentistry after his own unpleasant experience as a kid in the dental chair, which actually made him think that “a dentist visit should be a better experience”.
Sam moved to Australia in 2010 and he absolutely loves living in Melbourne, and calls it “HOME” now. He brings to Vineyard Dental more than 16 years of extensive valuable experience in general dentistry which he gained in the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and in multiple private practices in Melbourne. He is also a visiting lecturer at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne for the Clinical Training Unit of the Dental Health Services of Victoria, and a Mentor for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Sydney.Sam strongly believes that continuing professional development is a must to keep up with advancements in modern dentistry and to ensure competency in his profession, hence he has attained the well reputable Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS), the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd) and the Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MFDS RCSI).Dr Atteya has special interests in Implant Dentistry and Oral Surgery (especially wisdom teeth surgeries), as we as Root Canal Treatment and Cosmetic Dentistry.

Sam believes that excellent dentistry provided with compassion could have a long lasting, profound effect on a patient’s life. His motto is “Quality dentistry, quality life’.
According to his patients, Sam prides himself on providing high-end dentistry. As such, his patients love to see no other dentist after seeing him.
In his free time, Sam likes to play soccer and tennis with his two daughters and wife.
Met is a second generation dentist in his family. He moved to Australia after clearing his Australian Dental Board examination in 2015.
Met has over 9 years of experience as a general dental practitioner in different countries with special interest in Root Canal Treatments (to save badly broken/dead teeth) and Cosmetic Dentistry (veneers and crowns).
Met is very active with his continuing professional development and regularly attends courses and conferences to improve his knowledge and dental skills. He aims to provide the best quality treatment in the most comfortable way. He is a firm believer that “prevention is better than cure” and practices minimally invasive dentistry. One of his aims is to help anxious patients to have a comfortable experience while on his care.
Met, in his free time, enjoys swimming and table tennis.
